Alfred Heijink (team leader personnel) sat down with him and asked the question: which system suits Feyen well for the future? They found the solution in the system HR & Salaris Online. Currently, the fourth generation of the Feyen family is at the helm of wholesaler and family business Feyen.

Always a family business

Jeroen (Feyen): "We have always been a family business. We registered with the Chamber of Commerce in 1899. We initially started in the oil trade and for the last 25 years, we have focused mainly on coffee machines in the business sector."

Jeroen (Feyen): We have much more insight into who is all around here and what the costs are.

"In the last five to ten years, we have added a service department and do comfort operating. We have launched our own line of coffee: '1899'. This is all running quite successfully, but as a result, there is also a growing demand for personnel. We have grown significantly in revenue, but also in staff in recent years."

Long-term solution

Alfred (de Jong & Laan): "I have been involved with the company Feyen for many years. A wonderful company, which we have definitely seen change in recent years from a very stable wholesaler to the company they are today. In that growth, there was also a need for personnel, and we were able to provide a good solution."

And linked to that: what information do you need? We really looked to the future. Not just the short term, but really looking for a solution for the long term."

Alfred continues: "The inventory clearly showed that insight was very important. Especially for the long term. They wanted ease of use and it had to be easily compatible with their systems. From there, we implemented our system HR & Payroll Online in the service variant. This provided Feyen with clear management information immediately. They gained the insight and ease of use they desired."

Jeroen (Feyen): On one hand, we really want freedom, but we do want a guarantee of quality.

Jeroen (Feyen): "We can make changes ourselves, which allows us to work much faster. Additionally, we opted for a solution with an app, allowing our employees to view their own data as well. They can enter their vacation days and download payroll statements. It's actually a better solution for us and our employees."

Freedom, but also involvement

Alfred (de Jong & Laan): "Feyen has made a very nice step from the service variant to the self-service variant, where they actually get complete freedom with the whole system. On one hand, Feyen wanted freedom, but they also wanted a guarantee of quality. We fulfill that by means of a quarterly scan. Then my colleague visits and reviews the administration. These are also great moments to go over the latest tips and tricks of the system."

"And what we always include is a part of the expense allowance scheme. Often a difficult scheme for clients. Because we are so involved and continuously see what is happening, we look at the opportunities for Feyen."

Jeroen (Feyen): "We experience the contact with de Jong & Laan as very pleasant. It has become a somewhat larger organization over the years. But that also brings a lot of specializations, which means we can turn to them for many issues. And we find that very pleasant."
