Acquisition: Non-Ferro Gieterij Christenhusz

Non-Ferro Gieterij Christenhusz (NFGC) is a metal foundry in Hengelo that has specialised in casting bronze, aluminium and brass alloys since 1981. The company has a diverse and loyal customer base within the mechanical engineering, infrastructure and pump and gas industries. Landwoud engaged the guidance and support of De Jong & Laan in its acquisition of NFGC.

Acquisition: Non-Ferro Gieterij Christenhusz

For Landwoud, the acquisition marks a strategic power move, broadening its activities and adding new client sectors. These strategic drivers, combined with NFGC’s strong track record, loyal customer base, favourable location, and growth opportunities, make the acquisition of NFGC a natural fit.

Buy-and-build strategy

Landwoud is a hands-on investment company focused on generating long-term returns that invests in established manufacturing and trading companies with a proven track record.

Its current portfolio is mainly active in the plastics and metal sectors in the northeast of the Netherlands, including Polytech Kunststoffen B.V. (Musselkanaal), Galvano Hengelo B.V., and Non Ferro Gieterij Oldenzaal B.V.

Landwoud is part of the Schoonderwolf Groep, whose origins lie in companies supplying extruded plastic profiles to the construction sector, such as Heering Kunststof Profielen B.V. in Dedemsvaart.

With previous acquisitions, Landwoud has shown itself to be an entrepreneurial and committed investment partner. Unlike many other investment companies, which typically pursue an exit after a few years, Landwoud focuses on the long term and has no intention of divesting the companies it acquires.

Thanks to this long-term vision and hands-on approach, Landwoud is well positioned to take NFGC to the next level. Working together with the management team, Landwoud aims to grow its companies while providing NFGC’s management with opportunities to further develop within the group.

The coming years offer ample opportunities and ambitions, and both the management of NFGC and Landwoud look forward to a successful partnership and continued growth.
