Sale: Hemsson Holding

Hemsson Holding has been sold to AVerest Capital. Based in Almelo, the company began in 2006 with the trade of its self-developed and patented LED Christmas trees under the Fairybell brand. De Jong & Laan advised Hemsson Holding throughout the sale to investment company AVerest Capital.

Sale: Hemsson Holding

At the same time, AVerest Capital, founded by Albert Koops and Vincent Pieterson, also acquired the shares of Arli Group B.V. Both companies boast an impressive portfolio of brands, including Cinderella, Damai, DDDDD, Fairybell and Ted Sparks.

An ideal match

The two companies are an ideal match, and joining forces will enable the pair to accelerate further expansion. For Jeroen Achterhuis, selling shareholder of Hemsson Holding, this move realises his ambition to grow Hemsson as part of a larger group, with further international expansion. In the new group he will take on the role of CEO while retaining a minority stake.

Hemsson is a distinctive player in the home and living sector, selling self-developed products worldwide under its own brands. The company has offices in Almelo and warehouses in both the Netherlands and the United States. It began in 2006 with Fairybell LED Christmas trees, which are patented and produced in Almelo, and have since become a familiar sight during the festive season.
