Kingspan Unidek has acquired Hectar Funderingstechniek along with its interests in Hectar Intellectual Property. The two companies entered into a successful partnership in foundation floors several years ago, aimed at promoting sustainable and energy-efficient building. Now, more than four years later, that collaboration has culminated in a full acquisition by Kingspan.

The background

Hectar Funderingstechniek has specialised in the sale and installation of crawl space-free foundation floors since its market launch in 2015. These certified, high-quality EPS shuttering floors offer excellent insulation while delivering significant savings in both time and cost. They are used in residential and commercial buildings of up to three storeys.

For some time, the production and logistics of Hectar’s foundation floors have been managed by Kingspan Unidek, which has a broad portfolio of Unidek EPS insulation solutions for roofs, walls and floors. Its sustainability ambitions under the Planet Passionate programme align closely with Hectar’s expertise, making the acquisition a natural step forward.
