De Jong & Laan initiates Board succession process
De Jong & Laan Board starts succession process
Vroomshoop, 13 December 2023
In consultation with the full partner group, the decision has been made to make room for a new board with a broader composition and the right experience to lead a fast-growing, modern partner organisation. For the first time, de Jong & Laan will consider not only internal but also external candidates in the succession process.
Under the current board, de Jong & Laan has grown from a regional firm into a national network with more than 1,000 employees across 25 offices.
Willem van Wijngaarden, Chair of the Supervisory Board of de Jong & Laan: "Over the past year, de Jong & Laan has taken important steps forward with three successful acquisitions, which expanded our national coverage as well as adding innovative services and specialist expertise to our portfolio. Marco, Roland and Horst have played a key role in making this possible. Today, we have a stable and very healthy organisation, built on a foundation of quality, a people-centred culture and strong data analytics. These elements have been crucial to our success, and our growth will continue in the years ahead. The new de Jong & Laan therefore requires a governance model with a broader board, bringing in additional expertise and experience to lead a dynamic partner organisation."
In addition to further expansion of the office network, the new board will be tasked with continuously strengthening quality, broadening and deepening the firm’s service offering, and integrating both current and new colleagues within de Jong & Laan’s people-focused culture.
The new board is expected to be finalised before the summer. Naturally, control over the auditing activities remains with the auditors at all times.
