Kees-Jan Nielen and Gert van de Laar, founders and partners of 5BAR Assurance, explain that the focus on quality, the strong opportunities for personal development, and the scale of the organisation were key reasons to join de Jong & Laan. “After years of working at one of the Big Four accounting firms, we decided in 2012 to take the leap and start our own practice, driven by our growing belief in the power of entrepreneurship and a more personal approach,” says Kees-Jan Nielen.
In recent years, 5BAR Assurance has grown into an audit firm that takes on more complex challenges. With a young and international team, 5BAR Assurance supports a diverse range of clients.

Full integration
5BAR Assurance is set to be integrated into de Jong & Laan, and time will be taken to align services and processes over the next six months. In addition, Kees-Jan Nielen and Gert van de Laar will join de Jong & Laan as partners.
