Sale: Veduma Partnership to CED

Following years of strong growth and with one of the partners approaching retirement age, the partners of Veduma decided to hand over their business to a robust market player, with a view to ensuring the continued development and growth of the firm. De Jong & Laan guided the partners throughout the sale process.

Sale: Veduma Partnership

Partnership Veduma, based in Zaltbommel, is a leading player in the field of medical advice relating to personal injury, disability insurance and medical liability. The firm focuses on advising on medical aspects within both private and public insurance, providing its services to insurers, various (semi-)government institutions, claims settlement agencies and law firms. Having been active for almost 25 years, Veduma has built up a nationwide network of medical advisers.

Reason for the sale

Over the past years, the partners have devoted themselves with great enthusiasm and commitment to developing Veduma into a successful business and a trusted name in the market.

The main reason for the sale is to safeguard continuity, as one of the partners is approaching retirement age. Given the growth phase that Veduma has experienced, the partners felt the time was right to transfer the company to a robust market player who can drive further development and growth.

Acquisition by CED

A suitable partner was found in the Dutch-rooted company CED. The wider CED Group employs around 2,500 people across 12 European countries and provides its clients with full-service claims management: from valuations, risk inspections and emergency assistance to personal injury claims handling, in-kind recovery and recourse.

CED has strong ambitions for growth and aims to become the European market leader in claims management. Alongside expansion, innovation and future-proof digitalisation are at the heart of its strategy.

Rutger (CED): By combining the best of both worlds, we can make our services even more efficient and of higher quality.

Bente Admiraal, partner at Veduma: “For Veduma it is crucial that the interests of our clients and employees continue to be safeguarded. To enable further growth and secure the continuity of our services for the future, we sought to collaborate with a strong partner.”

According to Rutger Spek, managing director at CED, the two organisations are an excellent fit. Moreover, he expressed his delight that Veduma’s current owners have all committed themselves to CED for the longer term. “By combining the best of both worlds, we can make our services even more efficient and of higher quality.”
