De Jong & Laan advised and supported the sale of HK Plastics, with Dijkstra Plastics quickly emerging as the acquiring party. This strategic acquisition increases production volumes and strengthens Dijkstra Plastics’ position as a supplier of plastic packaging.
Strengthening market position
The acquisition of HK Plastics enhances Dijkstra Plastics’ competitiveness against European players in the plastic packaging industry, taking its total annual turnover to around €60 million.
Through the business acquisition of HK Plastics, the Twente-based companies within the European RD Group have been combined to form the Netherlands’ largest producer of plastic packaging containers for both the food and non-food industries.
