Sale: Hanzebouw

As of June 2021, Hanzebouw from Zwolle has been acquired by Friso Bouwgroep, strengthening the group's position as a key player in the restoration market.

Since its founding in 1992, Hanzebouw has specialised in restoration, renovation, and maintenance projects, serving clients across the northern, central, and eastern regions of the Netherlands from its office in Zwolle. The group's services include the restoration, renovation, maintenance, revitalisation, and repurposing of (monumental) buildings.

Thanks to its skilled and dedicated staff, Hanzebouw is able to deliver complex projects for clients such as noble families, associations, church councils, and municipalities. As a recognised training company with multiple certifications, Hanzebouw demonstrates both craftsmanship and quality in its field.

Expanding market share in the restoration sector

In recent years, the shareholders of Hanzebouw have worked with great enthusiasm and dedication to build the company into a successful enterprise.

The operating area of Hanzebouw aligns perfectly with the projects of Friso Bouwgroep.

To ensure continuity and enable further growth, contact was made with Friso Bouwgroep, a versatile construction company based in Sneek that operates across nearly all disciplines in the construction industry – from residential and commercial building to restoration.

Friso Bouwgroep has established itself as a strong player in the northern provinces, partly through the acquisition of Jurriëns Noord in 2016. By joining forces with Hanzebouw – which will continue to operate independently within the group – Friso Bouwgroep further strengthens its position in the restoration sector.

From a geographical perspective, the activities of Hanzebouw are an excellent fit with Friso Bouwgroep’s projects. Hanzebouw will continue its operations under its own name and from its current location.
