Merger: Licent - Dommerholt & Ten Brinke
Sixteen insurance brokerages and Licent’s underwriting agency are joining forces, marking a unique development in the Dutch insurance world: never before have so many independent brokerage agencies united as one.
Never before have so many independent brokerage agencies united as one.
The merger of sixteen independent brokerages and Licent’s underwriting business has created one new organisation: a group with more than thirty offices, revenues exceeding €30 million, and around 300 employees. As part of its continued growth ambition, private equity firm Gilde Equity Management is also acquiring a stake in the new organisation. With this merger, the group becomes a strong top-20 player in the Dutch financial advisory market.
Closer collaboration
Until now, the brokerages were independent businesses that cooperated primarily through the Licent cooperative, especially in relation to the underwriting business. The merger now makes it possible to collaborate more intensively and to continue growing and innovating.
The goal of the merger is to further strengthen and expand the position of what aims to be the most people-focused financial services provider in the Netherlands. The new organisation, Licent, has ambitious growth plans and invites other financial service providers to join.
