De Jong & Laan advised and supported two members of the management team, Timar Holtkamp and Johan Bruning, in acquiring the shareholding of external investor Quadrum Capital.
Continuing under their own steam
In 2016, investment company Quadrum Capital took a stake in Nerds & Company to help professionalise and grow the business. Following the growth achieved in recent years, the four-person management team decided to continue independently, with Timar Holtkamp (Creative Director) and Johan Bruning (CTO) increasing their ownership in the company by acquiring Quadrum Capital’s shares.
Nerds & Company has set its sights on further developing as a fully-fledged digital partner for its clients, with a strong emphasis on long-term relationships. Part of this strategy is the development of proprietary software solutions, such as the Blocks Learning Experience Platform. Strengthening the involvement of Timar and Johan underlines the long-term vision and future ambitions of Nerds & Company.
