HR Scan

If you choose to carry out an HR Scan, we'll ask several people in your organisation to complete a questionnaire. Each section of the questionnaire focuses on a specific theme. The results will provide insights into opportunities and challenges across the following areas:

  • Strategy: whether your organisation has a solid strategic workforce plan and corresponding HR goals.
  • Labour market communication: clarity on how effectively your organisation attracts and retains talent.
  • Development: insight into opportunities for employees to grow both personally and professionally.
  • Role clarity: understanding the extent to which employees and managers have clear expectations of each other’s roles.
  • Engagement, reward & retention: insight into how your organisation contributes to employee satisfaction and long-term employee retention.
  • Leadership & support: understanding how leadership and management are perceived across the organisation.
  • Health & safety: insight into how well your organisation has arranged key occupational health and safety matters.
  • Governance: clarity on how well your organisation understands and manages the essential aspects of HR.

Who is involved?

Several people complete the questionnaire, including the HR lead and the owner or director. In practice, we often see that views differ, especially on topics like strategy and leadership. That’s where we come in: we facilitate the conversation and help map out the opportunities together.

The HR Scan is a baseline assessment; a starting point for further optimisation. It doesn't tell you what's good or bad, simply where your organisation stands. Next, we identify your organisation's priorities and compare them with the outcomes to explore opportunities for your organisation.
