JAN© Accountants en Adviseurs (‘JAN©’) joins accountancy and advisory firm de Jong & Laan. The two organisations know each other well and see an opportunity to further realise their shared growth ambitions by combining their knowledge and expertise. They also believe that, together, they will be better equipped to respond to increasingly complex client demands, growing regulations, and labour market shortages. JAN© will continue serving SME(+) clients in the Western Netherlands under its own label as part of de Jong & Laan.
Founded in 2005, JAN© – like de Jong & Laan – has grown both organically and through small acquisitions over the years. Today, it is a firm of 160 employees providing a wide range of services from four offices in the northwest region of the Netherlands. The JAN© team includes accountants and tax specialists, as well as pension, business and HR advisors, legal experts, and valuation professionals.
Shared focus on quality and local engagement
De Jong & Laan and JAN© share the same ambition: to remain relevant to both clients and talent by continuing to grow while providing high-quality services. Growing together
Andrea van der Giezen, General Director of JAN©, adds: “With a larger firm like de Jong & Laan behind us, we can further pursue our growth ambitions. In addition, we’re expanding and deepening our service offering through de Jong & Laan’s expertise in areas such as sustainability advisory, corporate finance, and (international) VAT advice.”
JAN© will also gain access to a national network of more than 20 offices. Andrea continues: “What makes this even more promising is that we already know each other well. We’ve been participating in the same leadership and personal development training courses for years and frequently share best practices in compliance. In short, joining forces with de Jong & Laan feels like moving forward with our ‘big brother’ – the foundation is very strong.”
Van der Giezen joins the Executive Board of de Jong & Laan
With the integration, Andrea van der Giezen will join de Jong & Laan’s Executive Board. As Chief Quality Officer (CQO), she will take responsibility for Quality, Compliance, and Technical Expertise. Together with Jurgen van Breukelen (CEO), Jaap Witteveen (COO), and Marco Herder (CFO), Andrea will form the day-to-day leadership team of the organisation.

As JAN© is a well-established name, the organisation will continue operating under its current brand for the time being. As with previous integrations, the brand will add ‘Powered by de Jong & Laan’ to its logo.
